Dear UC Davis Staff,It is with great sorrow that Staff Assembly shares some truly heartbreaking news. Dan Ransom, the IT Director for Application Development at the School of Veterinary Medicine and 2023-24 Staff Assembly Chair, has unexpectedly passed away after dealing with a brief illness. In his roles as IT Director and Chair of Staff Assembly, Dan's contributions to the university's mission will forever be a part of his legacy. He was incredibly passionate about making UC Davis a community where every staff member felt welcome and could succeed.
This year, the Staff Assembly Executive Committee set a goal to collect and analyze salary and compensation data to better advocate for data-driven decisions and to try to answer key questions relevant to staff. What did we find?

The Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) held its quarterly meeting December 6-8, 2023, hosted by University of California Office of the President (UCOP) at the UC Path Center in Riverside.
A big thank you to everyone who came to our ? Fifth Annual Staff Assembly Football Tailgate. We had a lot of fun before the game, and guess what? The Aggies won! They beat Portland 37-23. That made our day even better!
