2023-2024 Salary and Compensation Report
This year, the Staff Assembly Executive Committee set a goal to collect and analyze salary and compensation data to better advocate for data-driven decisions and to try to answer key questions relevant to staff. What did we find?
- Over the past 10 years, Academic Senate compensation has increased 37.3% while PSS unrepresented staff compensation has increased 33.2%.
- Some represented groups have seen compensation increases of 43% (NX), 51% (CX), 72% (TX).
- Medical benefit premium increases may cause some staff to have effective salary decreases for 2024.
- A small number of staff have salaries outside the statistical norm for their payroll title.
- The specific department or division where an employee works may have an outsized impact on salary (for non-represented staff).
