Biography:

Huda is an Executive Project Manager in the Director's Office, reporting to interim Director Karen Bales, PhD, at the California National Primate Research Center. She was previously working with John Morrison, PhD, former Director, since 2019, before he stepped down formally in December to pursue his research as well as his role as President Elect of Society of Neuroscience. Huda's had the opportunity to previously work at the UCD School of Medicine in Academic Personnel directly supervising staff and high level projects for leadership from 2017-2019, for when she came to the Primate Center. Huda was born in India, migrated to this country in the late 80s and grew up in New Jersey, outside of Princeton. She lived in Maryland for 14 years, working for Johns Hopkins Hospital, and University of Maryland Medical System before moving to California in 2016. She received her MBA from a dual program with University of Baltimore/ Towson University in 2011. She's travelled to Switzerland and Chile for graduate school from 2009-2010 and lived/ worked abroad in Kuwait in the Middle East from 2012-2013. She's fluent in Urdu, Hindi, can read Arabic; loves to cook and embraces Indian clothing, Bollywood music/movies very much. She's almost an empty nester and is very much looking forward to this next chapter!  Huda's been part of the Management Development Program, Co-Chair of the Proshare Networking Program, Group Mentoring Program Mentor at UC Davis, and now looking forward to her contributions to the Staff Assembly here on campus.
