Staff Assembly Strategic Plan
About Staff Assembly
Staff Assembly was envisioned by Chancellor Emil Mrak in October 1968 to create a complete campus community, involving all segments of the campus. This vision was realized when Chancellor James Meyer formally recognized UCD Staff Assembly as a staff organization in September 1969. UCD Staff Assembly, the first in the UC system, cemented the concept of shared governance in the University's mission of teaching, research and service where administration, faculty, staff, and students work together.
UCD Staff Assembly is one of the five recognized campus constituent organizations. The Staff Assembly, Academic Senate, Academic Federation, Associated Students of UC Davis and Graduate Student Association comprise the entire campus community and are the basis of the shared governance process of this campus.
