Our 2017 TGFS Guess the Weight contest is underway!  This year’s special guest for our photo is “Miss Bee Haven” located at The Häagen-Dazs Honey Bee Haven. The contest rules are simple, guess the weight of “Miss Bee Haven,” (the bee base is not included in the weight) and her friends in the photo. The guess closest to the actual weight, without going over, will win a Southern California vacation – 3 day/ 2 night hotel stay in Anaheim or San Diego, and 2 adult 1-day Disneyland or SeaWorld tickets. If there is a tie, the winner will be decided by a drawing. Start calculating and buzz on by the TGFS both on May 24 to be part of this staff tradition to enter your lucky guess!

This year's winner that guessed closest to the total weight of Miss Beehaven and the TGFS committee is Patricia Boerger, Admissions Recruitment Specialist III, Undergrauate Admissions. When asked how she came up with her guess. 'When I looked at the picture I assumed the average weight per person was around 200 lbs and guessed that the bee was about twice as much the size of the average weight of a person. Then put down a number close to that!'  Tricia's guess 4,632 lbs, the actual weight 4,668.6 lbs.
