Position Title

Description of Past-Chair Position:

The Past Chair provides mentorship and support to the Staff Assembly Executive Committee and continues serving on any committees/task forces that they assumed as Chair the previous year.   Additionally, the Past Chair will assist the Secretary and Coordinator with the Staff Assembly Annual Report.


Kate graduated UC Davis in 2001 with a degree in History, working part-time through her Master’s Degree at the Counseling Center, finally settling in to a full-time career position in 2005 in advising in the College of Engineering.  After working with students in advising, both in graduate and undergraduate programs, she directed various UC systemwide outreach programs in air quality and STEM education.  Kate now works as the Accreditation Manager at the UC Davis Police Department, assisting the UCDPD self-assessment and international professional accreditation.

Kate joined Staff Assembly in 2013 as a member of the Career Development Committee, and has served as Membership Chair and Chair.  Kate enjoys traveling with her family, reading spy novels, making beer with her husband, and riding bikes with her daughters!
