Global Entry Coming Back to UC Davis

On-campus interviews January 30-February 1, 2018

Global Entry is back by popular demand. The UC Davis Travel Team, part of Supply Chain Management, is hosting a Global Entry enrollment event in early 2018. University travelers (and family members) who have applied and been conditionally approved for Global Entry membership may schedule to complete their interview appointment on-campus during the event. A limited number of appointment times will be available for January 30-February 1, 2018. Be sure to submit your application online as soon as possible if you want to take advantage of the campus location for your interview. Current wait times for appointments at San Francisco International are six months or longer, so this is a great opportunity to complete the process faster and in a more convenient location!


What is Global Entry?

The Global Entry service provides enrolled travelers with the TSA PreCheck benefits through airport security, as well as expedited processing through customs when arriving at U.S. airports from foreign countries. Visit the comparison chart on the Department of Homeland Security website to compare the programs and see who is eligible.


How to sign up

Visit the Global Entry page on the UC Davis travel website to read detailed instructions on how to apply. You'll be instructed to go online to the Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) website and fill out the application. We recommend that you complete your application no later than mid-December, as it can take up to four weeks for pre-approval. About two weeks after submitting your application, check the application website regularly to see if you’ve been granted pre-approval. Once you receive pre-approval you will be directed to make an appointment for an interview, which, space permitting, you can schedule for the on-campus event. Contact after you submit your TTP application to receive the interview location code.

  • Interview Dates: Tuesday, January 30, Wednesday, January 31, and Thursday, February 1
  • Appointment Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm daily (allow 15 minutes per appointment).
  • Location:  260 Cousteau Place, Ste. 150,  Davis, CA 95618
  • Cost: A $100 non-refundable fee is required with each submitted application and covers five years of enrollment. This is a personal expense and not reimbursable by the university. Payment is made by credit card or electronic check. Eligible credit card holders may receive credit for the application fee.
