Tips for a Great TGFS- Answers to your questions
- We will be providing large tented seating areas for shade for our picnic guests.
- Guests will NOT be allowed to bring pop-up tents this year due to fire regulations.
- Guests can bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets if they wish.
- This event is intended for UC Davis staff and student employees. Friends and family are not intended to participate.
- A representative needs to be determined by each department to order tickets for the entire organization.
- If you would like the vegetarian choice for your meal, make sure to indicate that to your organization's ticket representative.
- Sign-up early and check deadlines if you are interested in any of the sports, TGFS Idol, or the logo contest. (Coming soon.)
- Wear sunscreen to the Picnic! Dress comfortably and think about bringing a hat and sunglasses.
- You may want to wear bug repellent.
- If you are on campus, try planning to walk or ride your bike to the picnic. Check with co-workers to see if you can walk over as a group.
- Bike valet will be available, free of charge.
- We will be selling a limited amount of TGFS merchandise on-site. Order online to get your top choice items. If you plan to purchase merchandise at the picnic, please bring cash. (Merchandise coming soon.)
- Don’t miss the vendor showcase featuring local businesses and campus organizations offering services and products to benefit staff.
- If you have any special needs, please contact our office ahead of time.
- Volunteers need to report to the volunteer check in area 15 minutes prior to their scheduled shift. Check in tent will be located in the Northeast corner of Hutchison Field.
- If you are a staff member who is also a student, consider applying for our staff scholarship.
